On an agreed upon date, I will visit you at your location and, following a brief consultation, gather all information (please see “Letter Of Intent” for desired items) regarding, and take photographs and check the condition of, the artwork. Appraisals are based on insurance protection (estate, fire, theft, and donation). You will then receive two copies of my formal report on the artwork.

As fees -- based on hourly fee, not by the value of the artwork -- are then estimated on my assumed on-site time. The final figure will be available when the project is finalized. 50% of the final figure is normally required on or before the date our appointment.

Appraisals are performed in accordance with American Appraisers Association and USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) guidelines.
